WORD HOUSE MENTORING AND EDITING

We are delighted to begin offering manuscript consultations, mentorshiop, and writing coaching here at Word House. We’d love to work with you!

Robin Marie MacArthur

I love working with individual clients on their writing. I provide several services, including:

MANUSCRIPT CONSULTATIONS:

This is developmental feedback and line editing for full-length manuscripts of fiction, non-fiction, hybrid forms, and poetry. Do you have a work in progress that desperately needs another set of eyes? Have you lost your sense of direction with a book-length project, or need some polished line editing before sending it off to an agent or editor? I can help with all of this. Send an email for queries on rates and timing, and to see if we’re the right match. I would love to work with you.

MONTHLY WRITING MENTORING AND COACHING

Writing can be a lonely and isolating journey, and a long one. As your mentor (or coach) we would work together to clarify your vision, establish clear goals, set deadlines, and create systems of accountability. We would meet regularly for check-ins, and I would read your work and provide feedback when you’re ready. This would be a collaborative process, rooted in mutual trust, radical care, and hopefully, joy. Magic happens when we move from writing in isolation to writing with the care and mentorship of others. I would love to set out on this journey with you and see your artistic practice and work flourish.

GROUP MENTORING

Starting in mid-2024 I’m hoping to start a year-long session of group mentoring for an intimate group of 8-12 motivated, dedicated, and thoughtful writers. This will be more affordable than individual mentoring; it will also create a community of care and connection where you can learn from, cheer on, and support one another. Send a note via the contact form if you are interested in this future offering.
